On February 27, Xiaomi launched its latest flagship devices: the Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone and the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric vehicle, marking a key moment in the company’s 15th anniversary. CEO Lei Jun emphasized Xiaomi’s long-term vision for a "people, vehicle, home" ecosystem.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and a 6000mAh battery. Its standout 2K OLED display reaches 3200 nits of peak brightness, while the Leica-branded quad-camera setup includes a 1-inch primary sensor and 200MP long-range zoom. The phone also supports 8K video recording, advanced AI stabilization, and integrates smoothly with Apple devices. Priced from 6499 yuan, the 15 Ultra targets premium users.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric vehicle is a high-performance model, boasting a 2.1-second 0-100 km/h acceleration and a top speed of 350 km/h. With a 630 km range and a track-grade battery, the vehicle is designed for performance enthusiasts. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features Xiaomi's HAD intelligent driving system. Initially priced at 814,900 yuan (approx. USD 112,400), the final price was set at 529,900 yuan (approx. USD 72,000) after a successful pre-sale. The company revealed on social media that within ten minutes of launch, 6,900 units were reserved with deposits.
Xiaomi’s market value reached HK$1.4 trillion in February 2025, fueled by its AIoT and premium product strategies. While the company continues to face challenges in balancing cost and profitability, it has committed to investing RMB 10.5 billion in R&D over the next five years, with AI as a key focus.
Xiaomi’s “people, vehicle, home” strategy is central to its future growth, aiming to create an interconnected ecosystem across its smartphones, cars, and IoT products.
