Cainiao Smart Logistics Network Limited, the logistics arm of e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, said operations have begun at its distribution centers in Dallas and Chicago on Thursday.

The expansion adds to the previously operational distribution centers in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami, bringing the total number of Cainiao's distribution centers in the United States to five.
