Ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing unveiled its unaudited financial results for Q1 2023, displaying a 19.1 percent year-on-year revenue surge to 42.7 billion yuan (US$5.91 billion). The net loss decreased to 1.2 billion yuan from the previous year's 16.3 billion yuan loss.
Didi's China mobile business contributed significantly, with an 18.7 percent revenue increase to 39 billion yuan, while its international segment witnessed a 40.7 percent surge to 1.7 billion yuan. The quarter also showcased Didi's core platform's growth, with transaction orders totaling 2.875 billion, a 15.6 percent increase YoY. The company's strong financial position is further bolstered by a cash reserve of 499 billion yuan as of March 31.
