WeChat is conducting experiments in food delivery in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Users in the two cities can find take-outs among their mini programs.

Tencent said the mini program provides a variety of courier services not only takeout but groceries too. The WeChat takeout service does not charge fees to shops so far and third-party deliverymen are used. 

For the users, prices on the mini program are pretty much the same as those on delivery apps like Ele.me and Meituan.
