Microsoft will recruit1,000 new staff in China next year. Opening its first office in Shanghai 30 years ago, the corporation now has more than 9,000 employees in China, 80 percent of which are R&D personnel.
The company also plans to expand its offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou. Construction of Microsoft Suzhou Phase 2 will be completed by August next year and Phase 3 is expected to break ground in November.
Since the pandemic, Microsoft has allowed its staff to work from home for over 50 percent of their working time.
