JIANG Fan has resigned as president of Taobao and president of Tmall on April 2. He was appointed as Alibaba Group’s president of international digital commerce in January. Cofounder Trudy Dai took Jiang’s place at Taobao and Tmall as Alibaba’s president of China digital commerce. 

Jiang was removed from Alibaba’s partner list in 2020 due to alleged marital infidelity that damaged the company’s reputation. 

Sources close to the matter told Chinese media Jiang has been busy reconstructing his team for the overseas market since January but is yet to travel abroad due to the pandemic.
