Swire Coca-Cola invests US$140 million in Zhengzhou

Bottler Swire Coca-Cola has invested more than 900 million yuan (US$140 million) in a new plant in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. It is Swire’s largest independent investment in China.

Swire Coca-Cola already has 18 plants in the Chinese mainland and plans to invest more than 5 billion yuan in factory infrastructure over the next five years. The bottler plans to increase its product range with more zero-sugar drinks.

“Zhengzhou is a dynamic city with a fast-growing demand,” said XU Yonggang, GM of Swire Coca-Cola Zhengzhou. The million-ton plant will be up and running within two years.
