On July 6, LEI Jun, Ceo of Xiaomi, released details of the latest stock incentive plan. Lei is giving away over 110 million shares to 122 staff. They are the first candidates in the company’s entrepreneur for a new decade program. All have made significant contributions to company.

Up to July 5, the shares giving away worth about 2.6 billion yuan (U$400 million), which means an average of 20 million yuan per employee. It is not the first time that Xiaomi has used this format. This is the 12th such award since going public in 2018, with 70 million shares recently divided between 4,000 employees earlier this year.

“The entrepreneur program offers rewards similar to those expected by pioneering entrepreneurs. They are given to technical talent and young managers. Recipients must be committed to Xiaomi’s mission, vision and values,” Lei said.
