Baidu to begin driverless ride-hailing in Beijing

A fleet of 10 Robotaxis, supported by Baidu’s Apollo driverless technology and manufactured by FAW, will start taking passengers in Shougang Industrial Park in west suburban Beijing on May 2.

The park is home to the Beijing organizing committee of the Winter Olympics. The Robotaxis are completely driverless and will be used as courtesy cars for players and officials during the games.
