Xpeng's robotics unit has completed supplier audits and selected suppliers for core components, marking further progress toward mass production, people familiar with the matter told The Paper.

Xpeng held its first robot supply-chain partner conference on September 22, bringing together leading suppliers of key components including actuators, dexterous hands, sensors and AI chips, according to the people.

Tesla's robotics team has also recently visited Chinese supply-chain companies for supplier audits. One person familiar with the matter said the two companies have "a high degree of overlap" among core suppliers.
