On July 8, On Top of the World Tree: Ancient Civilizations of the Americas officially opened at Shanghai Museum and will open to the public from July 9. Bringing together 1,129 sets of artifacts, totaling nearly 3,000 objects, the exhibition is the largest ever dedicated to ancient American civilizations in global museum history.

A walk through the galleries takes visitors across nearly 3,000 years of history, offering a panoramic view of major civilizations from the Olmec and Maya to Teotihuacan, the Aztec Empire and the Andes.
