Omdia has raised its forecast for China's semiconductor market in 2026 by 48.6%, projecting the market will reach US$812.08 billion, according to its latest quarterly update released on Tuesday.

The research firm now expects the market to grow 92.9% year on year, up sharply from the 31.26% growth forecast in its fourth-quarter 2025 update. Its previous estimate put the 2026 market size at US$546.5 billion.

The latest forecast represents an upward revision of about US$265.6 billion.

Omdia also sharply raised its outlook for China's semiconductor memory market, which is now forecast to grow 262.9% in 2026 to US$449.6 billion, according to the second-quarter update.
