Tencent's WeChat said on Wednesday that monthly active users for its mini-games platform have surpassed 500 million.
The company said average user time spent exceeded 60 minutes, while users initiated more than 100 million social interactions through mini-games.
More than half of active users also proactively access mini-games, according to the platform.
WeChat said its mini-game developer ecosystem now includes more than 500,000 developers, with over 80% consisting of small and medium-sized teams with fewer than 30 employees.
Over the past year, more than 80 mini-games recorded daily active users exceeding 1 million, while more than 300 generated quarterly revenue above 10 million yuan, according to the company.
The figures highlight the growing importance of mini-games within China's mobile gaming market, where lightweight and socially driven formats have become a major traffic source for developers.
