Weibo's active user numbers and creator community continued to grow in 2025, underscoring the platform's staying power amid China's increasingly competitive social media landscape.
At the Weibo V Influence Summit on October 18, senior vice-president CAO Zenghui said the platform had 588 million monthly active users and 261 million daily active users as of June. Users generated an average of 105 million posts, 63 million comments and 197 million likes per day.
Weibo's demographics are gradually shifting. Users aged 31 to 40 now account for 22.9% of its monthly active base, while those under 30 still make up 70.7%. Activity from smaller cities and rural areas also continues to rise, with users from fourth-tier cities and below reaching 31.5%—up 1.5 percentage points from a year earlier.
The platform's creator ecosystem is also expanding. By September, the number of verified "Gold and Orange V" creators had risen sharply, reflecting stronger participation from both top-tier influencers and emerging content creators.
