According to Shanghai Customs, the Yangtze River Delta region achieved a record-high trade volume in 2024, with total imports and exports reaching 16.01 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%. This accounted for 36.5% of China’s total trade value.
Exports from the region totaled 9.95 trillion yuan, representing 39.1% of the national export value and growing 8.2% year-on-year. Imports reached 6.06 trillion yuan, making up 32.9% of the national total and rising 1.5% compared to 2023.
