Alibaba plans to invest US$2 bln in Turkey

On September 18, Trendyol, the Turkish e-commerce company that Alibaba Group invested in 2018, said that Alibaba Group's President, Michael Evans, mentioned during a meeting with Turkish President Erdoğan that Alibaba plans to invest US$2 billion (14.58 billion yuan) in Turkey in the near future. The Chinese e-commerce giant has already invested US$1.4 billion in Turkey through Trendyol.
