Baidu Apollo has upgraded the robotaxi service Apollo Go in Wuhan. There are now 300 robotaxis in Wuhan, with a range of 95 kilometers. 

The operational area has expanded to 1,100 square kilometers and reaches a population of 4 million, making it the world's largest robotaxi operation. 

The autonomous driving sector has fundamentally challenged existing road traffic systems. 

For instance, certain Road Traffic Safety Law provisions, finalized just two years ago, may no longer address current practices. In the coming years, revisions to the traffic law will be designed in harmony with the outcomes of local pilot programs such as this.
